So folks from the raging seas to the rocky mountains- It has been quite a journey. For a long time I did not paint again. I was down with chicken pox and just didn't get the right mood to do it. After a long gap I started doing some fabric painting from lessons I learnt from the TV, asking neighbours etc. So now I had some leftover fabric paints. and the problem with them is they dry too fast. I decided to do a painting on cloth canvas. And is the result is for you to see.

The Blue skies, the mountains with a green carpet the dried up creek, the bushes - Nature at its very best!

The second pot I did which came out well. I had some leftover paint with me. So I just freaked out with a paint brush and on it I did the design with fevicryl glitter paste. I finished it out with a coat of clear varnish. This pot adorned my kitchen cabinet for some time. Then it shined as the center piece for my glass topped dining table. Now it just adds to the charm of my living room.

I do think I should write more on my other hobby Pot decoration. I started doing it for fun when I got hold of two earthen vessels used for storing drinking water. It felt good shaping flower petals and leaves using  chalk powder mixed with Fevicol. It was a bit messy at first then I go the hang of it and could do it more fast. Will post photos of my Pot decoration works soon.
So folks here is one of my first pot decoration works

Should say it looks messy what with the clear varnish coating I did on it staining a bit.

After a long gap I felt the urge to paint again and the outcome - The painting Rough Sea hangs in my living room now. I am quite fascinated with the sea waves dashing against the rocks and the water running over the rocks. This was done with water colours on paper. NOW I started feeling confident that I can do better and decided to do more paintings. Guys hope u all like it!

I am improving folks!. Really should go for professional training so that I can do more portraits.
Lots more to come.....

Now that my blogging has officially started I feel that I should definitely start writing more. Coming to the next painting of mine. I started experimenting with crayons left behind by my kids and lo! behold a scenery right off the natural canvas of the Himalayan Valleys. For this I started using handmade paper with a rich texture which was reflected in the painting. So folks what do you say?

So friends here I am with a new blog of my own just to feed my passion for painting! When I go through the years I see myself not too skilled in painting in my school years. No going to any art school to get any training. But it was after my marriage I think I tried my hand at painting. I found some dried up poster colours and with that I started.

My first painting was resembling the horror flick - The Zee Horror Show. And to my surprise it came out well. Thereafter started my painting saga........

Well starting from myfirst attempts, I now stand proud to say I am not too bad with colours. So here is a sample of a few of my humble attempts

The Snake charmer. This painting decorates the walls of one of the  rooms in my flat. So folks now that am truly into this just wait for more updates and hope this will inspire u all too
